  • What is included in a Style at Home Digital subscription if I purchase from the publisher?

    Your Style at Home Digital subscription includes three methods of accessing your subscription. Style at Home for iPad app, Style at Home for Android tablets app, plus the Zinio version accessible on desktop and other mobile devices.

  • What is included if I purchase my subscription through Apple Newsstand or Google Play newsstand directly?

    If you purchased your subscription through Apple, Google or Zinio directly, you will only have access to the Style at Home Magazine on the respective platform that you signed up on. The magazine app on the alternative platform will not be included as part of your subscription.

  • Is there a difference between the iPad, Android, and/or the Zinio edition?

    No, they all have the same content as the print edition. You won't miss a single article, photo or ad.

  • If I'm a Style at Home print subscriber already, can I add Digital at a discount?

    Yes, we are currently offering print subscribers a discount to a full year of Style at Home Digital. If you wish to add Style at Home Digital please contact Customer Service by email: subscriptionservices@cdsglobal.ca or by calling 905-946-0910.

  • Do I need to be connected to the Internet to read my issues?

    You need an internet connection to download your issues. Once downloaded you can read your issues offline, however the web links and web-hosted videos will not work.

  • Are back issues included in my Style at Home Digital subscription?

    No, you will only have access to the issues from the start of your subscription onwards and issues published prior to our launch date on each platform are not available. Our first iPad issue was August 2013 and our first Zinio issue was September 2009. Each iPad issue you download is stored on your iPad and accessible through the app. For Zinio, the downloaded issues are stored on your hard drive for easy access and archiving. All your available issues are archived in your digital library within the app and in your Zinio “My Library” where you can re-download onto your devices at no-additional charge.

    The app contains a library of available issues for purchase as single copies or via a subscription. Receive a free trial digital issue with any new subscription and explore what Style at Home offers. By selecting yes to notifications, you’ll be told when new issues are available. Your downloaded issues are accessible through the app.

  • How much does Style at Home for iPad cost?

    Single issues are $3.99, special issues are $5.49, and a yearly subscription is $19.99 and does not include special issues. Single copy purchases and/or subscriptions can be purchased in-app and the payment will go through Apple or you can subscribe through Style at Home directly by clicking here.

  • Do I need to be connected to the Internet to read my issues?

  • I have purchased a subscription via your website, or I’ve received login information from you. How do I sign into the Style at Home Magazine app and download issues?

    Open the Style at Home Magazine app from your newsstand hub and tap "Sign In" on the top left-hand corner.


    A Sign In box will appear.
    Username : Enter your account number, or the email address you used when you subscribed to Style at Home Digital.

    Password : Postal Code you used when you subscribed to Style at Home Digital.


    Download Issue
    Once you sign in, you will still see all the available issues in your library, but you will only be able to download issues that are a part of your subscription from the start date of your subscription and onwards. Any issues that are not part of your subscription will show a price and is available for an in-app purchase.

    Tap on the cover of the issue if you want to read about the issue before you download. A download box will appear with a short description of the issue and a download button on the right-hand corner, tap on “Download” if you want to download the issue.


    Or you can simply click on the cloud icon with a down arrow and the issue will start downloading

  • How do I download an issue if I purchased my Style at Home subscription through Apple Newsstand directly?

    Once you open the app, you will still see all the available issues in your library, but you will only be able to download issues that are a part of your subscription from the start date of your subscription and onwards. Any issues that are not part of your subscription will show a price and is available for an in-app purchase.

  • Where will I find my downloaded issue?

    All your downloaded issues are in your app library, along with all available issues. An issue that has already been downloaded does not have a download icon or a price.

  • Why won't my issue download?

    Older issues will download slowly. You may start reading once 10% of the magazine has been downloaded. For best results, we recommend using a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection to download an issue. You may wish to disable your device ‘Auto Lock’ function while downloading an issue to avoid your device going into sleep mode. If you started a download and it fails for some reason, the download will resume once there is a Wi-Fi connection.

  • What happens if I exit the app while an issue is downloading?

    The issue will continue to download in the background until it is completed.

  • How do I know when a new digital issue is available?

    You can opt-in to receive a push notification to let you know when each new issue is available.

    To do this:
         1. Tap on your iPad settings
         2. Tap on “Notifications”
         3. Tap on Style at Home in the Notification Center and set Alerts to “On.”

    In order to read the new issue you must purchase a single copy within the app; subscribers will be able to download the new issues when they become available by tapping on the cover.

  • Do the digital editions expire?

    No. Once you purchase the issue, it's yours to keep. All issues will remain in your app Library.

  • Why is it taking so long to sync or back up my iPad?

    Each issue of Style at Home Magazine is fairly large and can add time to your iPad syncing or backing up. To avoid this, you can either delete your issues prior to backing up or you can manually cancel the backup process during the start of the iPad sync process. If you only want to sync your iPad, you can continue to do that after you cancel the backup process.

  • Will deleting an issue free up storage space on my iPad?

    Yes, you can access it again at any time by re-downloading the issue again at no additional charge.

  • How do I delete an issue?

    Ensure you are in your Style at Home Library when you open the app.

    Tap on the Settings icon on the top right-hand corner and a drop box will appear with the option to “Remove Issues from iPad”.


    You will be taken to a “Select Issues” screen. Tap on the cover of the issue(s) you want to delete then tap on the “Remove” button on the top right-hand corner. You will be able to re-download any deleted issue(s) anytime at no additional charge.


  • How do I restore deleted issues?

    You can re-download a previously deleted issue again anytime at no additional charge.

    Subscribers: Open Style at Home Magazine app and sign in using the “Sign In” button on the top left. All issue covers will still be visible, just tap on the cover and re-download the issue you would like to view at no additional charge.

    Single Copy Purchasers and Apple Newsstand Subscribers : Open the Style at Home Magazine app and tap on the issue you wish to re-download. If it is still showing a price, then tap on the “Settings” icon on the top right-hand corner. A drop down menu will appear. Tap on “Restore All Purchases” and follow the prompts. Once completed, tap on the issue(s) you wish to re-download and a “Download” button should appear and you will be able to re-download at no additional charge.

  • I purchased my subscription from Apple Newsstand directly, how do I manage or cancel my auto-renewal?

Zinio FAQ

  • How will I know when the next issue is available?

    You will receive an email notification each time a new issue is available or a push notification if you have downloaded the Zinio Reader app for iPhone, Android or Desktop. You can also find your magazines on Zinio.com in the “My Library” section; you can read your magazines online or download from there. Finally, if you have installed the Zinio Reader on your computer, it will automatically check for new issues when you are connected to the internet and let you know when they are available.

  • How can I access my Zinio editions?

    You can access your digital magazines at any time through "My Library" on Zinio.com or by clicking on the links in the notification email you will receive for each new issue. You can also access your magazines at any time within the Zinio offline reader if you have chosen to download it.

  • What is My Library?

    "My Library" is your personal digital library that is found on Zinio.com. Your magazine issues will be placed here for easy access to read online or download for offline reading. You can also re-access issues here that you have already read. You will be directed to create a login and to access your library from the notification emails you will receive each time a new issue is available.

  • Do I need to be connected to the Internet to read my magazines?

    No, you only need to be connected when you download your issues. After that, you can take your computer anywhere and read your magazines offline. Of course, certain features such as hyperlinks in articles and advertisements, or "Send to Friend," require an Internet connection.

  • What are the system requirements for Zinio Reader?
